Description

Description

This print captures Nandroya Falls, hidden deep in the rainforest south of Cairns. A tall, narrow cascade drops into a dark volcanic pool, surrounded by dense tropical canopy. The falls sit within Wooroonooran National Park, part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. The landscape here is ancient. Basalt cliffs, thick moss, and layered rainforest shaped by constant rainfall. Reaching Nandroya Falls requires a moderate walk through humid forest and hilly terrain. Compared to some of the other waterfall walks in the area though, it is one of the easier ones, with not too much total elevation gain. The area is quiet, moody, and untouched.
