Description

Lake Fyans is a picturesque off-stream reservoir situated just east of the Grampians National Park. It is characterized by its calm waters and dead trees rising from the shallows. The lake is framed by the dramatic, rugged backdrop of the Mount William Range. A beautiful place to be particularly when the calm surface mirrors the soft light of dawn or dusk. Because it sits well away from heavy light pollution, the expansive, dark skies above the lake also provide a brilliant canvas for astrophotography.
