Description

Stanwell Tops sits on the edge of the Illawarra Escarpment above Stanwell Park, with open lookouts that face south along the coastline towards Wollongong. The main viewing area at Bald Hill Reserve is known for wide coastal views that often include Sea Cliff Bridge, the surf beaches below, and the escarpment line running down the coast. It’s also a recognised hang-gliding and paragliding launch site, so it’s common to see gliders taking off when conditions are right.
