Description
Iron Knob is a tiny, historic mining town on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, known for its deep connection to iron ore and the heavy-industry story of the state. It’s the kind of place where the landscape feels tough and open—red-brown earth, low scrub, big skies—and the town itself has that quiet, lived-in feel you get in remote communities. As the sun rose, I was driving through pockets of fog. I quickly sent the drone up to get a better look at this insanely flat landscape in the gentle morning light.
