Description

Shooters Hill is a tiny, high-country patch of the Central Tablelands near Oberon, where the road runs through pine plantations and the air feels a few degrees sharper. It sits up around 1,355 m, so in winter there’s a real chance of seeing snow dusting the pines and paddocks. Most days it’s more sprinkle than winter wonderland. Snow might hang around for a few morning hours, then vanish when the sun gets higher. A decent snowfall is rarer, and that’s why its a big deal to be there are the right time to see a decent snow fall.
