The Three Sisters rise from the edge of the escarpment at Echo Point in Katoomba, standing above the vast sweep of the Jamison Valley. These weathered sandstone pillars are the most recognisable landmark in the Blue Mountains, glowing warm at sunrise and sunset as the valley below fills with blue haze. A short walking track leads down to the Honeymoon Bridge at their base, giving a close-up view of the rock’s texture and the scale of the cliffs around them. Rich in Gundungurra and Darug cultural significance, the Three Sisters are as much a story as they are a viewpoint, set within one of Australia’s most dramatic landscapes.
