Blue Mountains – Narrow Neck

Description

Narrow Neck is a long, thin sandstone ridge that stretches out from Katoomba into the heart of the Blue Mountains. Sheer cliffs drop away on both sides and give views in every direction. The dirt road and walking track follow the spine of the ridge, leading out toward the distinctive rock formation of Castle Head. From the lookout you can see across the Jamison Valley to Mount Solitary and back toward the Three Sisters, with layers of blue-hazed ranges fading into the distance. It’s a place of endless compositions and amazing picnic spots.
