Description
Fitzgerald River National Park sits on WA’s south coast between Bremer Bay and Hopetoun. It’s one of the most botanically rich corners of Australia. The landscapes are a mix of rugged quartzite ranges, open heath, and sheltered river valleys that run out to dramatic coastal cliffs and white beaches. It’s the kind of place that feels wild and untouched, with big skies, long views, and a constant sense that you’re somewhere a bit special and remote. It’s often skipped by people traveling between Albany and Esperance. It’s completely different to either, a sharp contrast of jagged rocks compared to Esperance’s soft and pretty coastline. It is not unusual to find a beach completely to yourself here.
