Cathedral Rock is one of Mount Buffalo’s signature granite formations — a dramatic “tor” that rises out of the plateau like a jagged fin. It’s a standout stop on the Cathedral–Hump walk, where the track climbs steadily to viewpoints that frame the rock against wide, open high-country scenery. This perspective from the road in lined the Cathedral rock up perfectly against the Milky Way. Being so high in Alpine Victoria, and away from city lights makes for fantastic star gazing.
