Bell’s Falls is a rugged little cascade tucked into the bushland near Bells Rapids Park, about an hour from Perth. There are a few view points at various spots down the hill that have rope swings. A cute picnic spot! It’s not always flowing though because it relies on seasonal rainfall. In Perth’s Mediterranean climate, most rain falls in winter, so the creek and falls usually look best after solid winter rains. By late spring and especially through summer, rainfall drops off and the creek can shrink right back or dry up, so the falls can be just damp rock or a trickle. Check the rainfall before you pack the picnic basket!
