Description
What remains of the Rapid Bay Jetty, stretching out into clear turquoise water on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula. Once a working limestone jetty, its broken lines and pylons now form a striking geometric pattern against the sea. Below the surface, the old jetty structure has become an artificial reef, making the area popular with divers and snorkellers. Rapid Bay Jetty is quiet and atmospheric, a popular attraction with local campers, fishermen and photographers.
