This print captures the view from Kamarun Lookout, looking out across the rolling hills of the Gold Coast hinterland toward the coast. The Gold Coast skyline appears faint on the horizon, a subtle reminder of how close the city sits to this beautiful mountainous lookout, yet most do not know it exists. Forested slopes, open farmland, and layered ranges stretch between mountain and sea .Kamarun Lookout is a pause point on the climb up to O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. I was not expecting much when I found it on google maps, having never heard of it before. But it quickly became one of my favourite places in the area for sunrise and sunset. One of the top spots in the area, and no hiking involved. Great for picnics or just stopping to take it all in.
