Bare tree trunks rise from the lake’s surface, providing a perch for the teeming local bird life. Lake Moogerah sits in the heart of the Scenic Rim, framed by the peaks of the Great Dividing Range. The area is known for its dramatic landscapes, open farmland, and quiet country roads. A scenic camp ground provides a great base for exploring the peaks and hikes in the surrounding area. For a stunning view over the lake, climb the nearby peak of Mount Greville (An adventure in itself) and head to the part of the trail marked as “slab rock”. One of the best views in the area.
