Description
Last light on Mount Fox, an ancient volcanic cone rising from the forests of North Queensland. As the sun drops low, the light highlights the shape of a long-extinct volcano being reclaimed by vegetation. Mount Fox is one of Queensland’s lesser-known volcanic features. Subtle rather than dramatic, although your body will think otherwise on the climb up. The “path” seems long forgotten and overgrown with tall grasses and leaves that shield trip hazards from view. It’s a wild hike, and something completely different from the main attractions of Far North Queensland.
