Description

Description

Lords Table Mountain sits in outback Queensland’s Peak Range National Park. It stands out, tall and striking against the flat plains around it. The table shape comes from the top being made of harder rock. Over a very long time, wind and rain wore away the softer rock around it. The tough “cap” stayed in place and formed the table shape. The return hike is just under 10kms, and gets to a very steep and rocky climb. There is very little shade along the way but the views are well worth the leg work out.
