Description

Crystal Shower Falls is one of Dorrigo’s most loved rainforest stops, a curtain of water spilling over basalt rock into a ferny gorge below. The short walk to it feels like stepping into a cool, green cave of tree ferns and mossy trunks, with the air always damp and fresh. The best part is the little side track that lets you walk behind the waterfall, and the suspension bridge that takes you above the river.

Dorrigo is a cool-climate town on the Northern Tablelands, perched high above the Mid North Coast with big views back toward the ocean on clear days. It’s known for rainforest country and misty mornings, with winding roads that drop into deep valleys and creeks that turn into waterfalls after rain. Nearby, Dorrigo National Park brings the real magic: towering trees, ferny gullies, and walking tracks that feel like you’ve stepped into a green, dripping world.
