Description

Description

Wentworth Falls is one of the most dramatic waterfalls in the Blue Mountains, plunging nearly 100 metres from the edge of the escarpment into the vast Jamison Valley below. From the main lookout you see the water spill over the cliff in a single, powerful drop before continuing through a series of lower cascades. Walking tracks lead to multiple viewpoints, including the famous steps down to the top of the falls and the airy ledges of the National Pass, where you’re right beside the cliff face with huge valley views. After rain the flow is thunderous and the spray rises back toward the lookout, while in drier periods the long white ribbon of water highlights the sheer scale of the sandstone walls around it.
