Description
Barrington Tops National Park is a cool, elevated wilderness where ancient rainforest, subalpine woodland, and wide snow-grass plains sit high above the surrounding valleys. Part of the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage Area, it’s known for its moss-covered trees, crystal-clear mountain streams, and sudden openings that reveal huge escarpment views. In winter, frost and occasional snow settle across the plateau, while in warmer months the forest is thick, green, and alive with birdlife. After rain the waterfalls come alive and the walks become moody adventures.
